The car broker has been around for decades. The car business unintentionally created their industry because clients were weary of car dealerships. The brokers emerged in the space to help facilitate the transaction. Shoppers did not trust the dealers and the brokers stepped in to add a level of confidence. In the modern shopping world the average shopper can actually find the gross profit and margins for a dealership online.
Brokers typically do not charge clients any up front fees for the service of matching them with the appropriate vehicle. This seems as though it would be a win for the client. The reality is that the brokerage fee has already been baked into the deal the dealership presents. This is why, with our many years of sales managerial experience, we feel it is important to point out that clients working with brokers never get any special deal by doing so.
It is important for our clients to understand, because the broker's fee is being paid by the dealership, they only receive payment once the car has been delivered. This means it is in the broker's best interest to find the client a car as quickly as possible rather than doing them the proper service of finding what is most suitable to their individual needs.
We are proud to say that at Auto Consultants, we use a much different model. We do not rely on kickbacks from the dealerships or work with any preferred dealerships exclusively, which means we represent the client. We help choose, which dealerships are the most well suited to our clients and if the service is unsatisfactory, we go elsewhere.
We charge an up front fee once we find you a car. This allows us the time to focus on finding the best vehicle possible for our clients rather than worrying about how long it may take to do so. If this month or the next doesn't work, we can always keep shopping around at your convenience. We are easy to reach by phone, text or email and pride ourselves in our client communication.
